In 2005, Ferrari introduced both the F430 and F430 Spider to the US Market. The F430 Spider was the successor to the Ferrari 360 Spider. The F430 was the first mainstream Ferrari to offer a Manettino dial. The dial allows the driver to quickly and simply adjust the electronics governing suspension settings, traction control, electronic differential, and change the speed of the electronic gearbox. The F430 came standard with a 4.3 Liter naturally aspirated V8 engine that produced 483 horsepower.  Redline is at 8,500 RPM. 0-60 mph takes as little as 3.9 seconds.  The top speed on the Spider is 193 mph.  Carbon Ceramic Brakes (CCB) were an option on both the Coupe and Spider through 2007.  In fact, shift times for the F430 are on par with the Ferrari Enzo. The F430 Spider driving experience is very similar to the coupe thanks to a rigid platform. The F430 Spider is still very quick even by today's standards. The addition of the Manettino really transformed the car into a much more usable supercar.  When you drive an F430 Spider the driver is instantly able to experience just what it is that makes Ferrari so special.
