In 2012, Ferrari introduced the FF to the American Market as the successor to the 612.  The FF stands for Ferrari Four. Four indicates the seating capacity and four-wheel drive. The FF was a radical departure from the 612 as it incorporated a shooting brake design theme and added four-wheel drive functionality. Ferrari designed the four-wheel-drive system (4RM) to focus on performance and driving feel.
