In 2012, Ferrari introduced the FF to the American Market as the successor to the 612. The FF stands for Ferrari Four. Four indicates the seating capacity and four-wheel drive. The FF was a radical departure from the 612 as it incorporated a shooting brake design theme and added four-wheel drive functionality. Ferrari designed the four-wheel-drive system (4RM) to focus on performance and driving feel. It is around 50% lighter than a conventional system and provides power as needed to each of the four wheels. The FF can accelerate from 0-60 in only 3.7 seconds with a top speed of an eye-watering 208 mph. When the FF was introduced it was the fastest 4 seat car produced at that time.
