The California T was introduced to the US market in 2015. As a replacement to the California, this new model was the first Ferrari to get the 3.9 Liter twin turbo engine that would eventually be shared with various models throughout Ferrari's lineup. It was also the first time Ferrari utilized a twin turbo V8 engine since the F-40 supercar. The California T was heavily restyled and the most notable visual changes were to the exterior. Rounded edges on the previous California were given a more angular look on the California T and the traditional exhaust pipes replaced the stacked exhaust pipes that came previously. The new engine in the California T was smaller in displacement than the California's previous engine but thanks to the twin turbochargers it produced considerably more horsepower. It is rated at 553 horsepower and 557 Torque (which is nearly 200 more than the previous California). 0-60 mph takes as little as 3.3 seconds and it achieves a top speed is 196 mph. Car and Driver said, "The California T is more enthralling than its direct competitors, namely the Aston Martin DB9 and Bentley Continental GTC, and more passionate than the anodyne Porsche 911 Turbo S". The California T is an excellent grand tourer that can be enjoyed as a coupe or convertible thanks to its power retractable top which changes form in 14 seconds.
